Moving Tips

Below we have answered some frequestly asked questions, however if you can't find the answer you are looking for then just get in touch.

  • What happens if my furniture gets damaged?
We take a pride in ensuring no damages or breakages occur.  In the unlikely event that they do we are fully insured.

  • What happens if it is raining?
All furniture and belongings are wrapped in transit blankets, sofa bags, plastic packing crates and mattress bags to ensure your furniture arrives as its destination in the same condition it left your previous property.

  • Can you dispose of any furniture we no longer require?
Yes. For furniture that still has life left in it we donate this to the Forces Support Charity.  For anything else we are registered SEPA waste carriers and follow their guidelines for best recycling practice.

  • Are you happy to move me at a weekend?
We are happy to move you whenever is convenient.

  • Do you move white goods?
Yes we do and we are happy to disconnect these as part of our removal service.

  • Can you pack my belongings for me?
Yes we provide a full packing service.
  • Where do I get my packing boxes from?
We can provide a full range of double walled boxes, wardrobe boxes, plastic packing crates and packing materials including bubble wrap etc.

  • How far will your travel?
We are happy to travel all over the UK including the Islands and Europe. The vehicle is fitted with a sat nav system to ensure the most direct and economic route is taken.
  • My house has limited parking/access...
A survey of the parking access is taken at the same time as we survey your property.  We make all the necessary arrangements with the relevant authorities to minimise disruption to you and your neighbours through the moving process.  We normally move you in our 10 ton Man lorry but for smaller moves we have a 3.5 ton trailer and larger moves can be accommodated in either an 18 ton box lorry or even an artic.
  • Who will be carrying out my move?
We pride ourselves on being a small firm with one of the Partners being in charge of each move we undertake. We do not employ casual/agency staff therefore we know the porters working for us are fully vetted and fully trained to ensure your belongings are treated with the upmost care and attention.
